Manila Mayor Erap Estrada discharged from hospital

Former President and incumbent Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada was discharged from the hospital on Saturday, a television report said.

Last Friday, Erap's son Sen. JV  Ejercito said his father was confined at a hospital due to pneumonia. 

"Siya po'y may pneumonia. Meron siyang kaunting infection sa lungs. Siguro dahil rin ito sa fatigue," Ejercito said in an interview with DZBB Super Radyo on Friday morning.

News TV Live reported Saturday that Erap has been discharged after his doctor cleared him.

After his release, the report said, Erap buckled down to work right away.

But his doctor advised him to kick the habit of smoking, the report said. —LBG, GMA News
