Quiapo Church eyes Facebook Live to stream Black Nazarene parade

The leadership of the Quiapo Church will use Facebook Live to stream the ‘traslacion’ of the Black Nazarene from the Quirino Grandstand to the Quiapo Church on Saturday, GMA News' Lia Mañalac-Del Castillo reported on "24 Oras."

The livestreaming via social media will be for devotees who will not make it to the usually day-long procession.

"Lahat naman ngayon may Facebook livestreaming na... Andun agad ang comment ng mga tao... Totoo, authentic, makahulugan," said Msgr. Hernando Coronel, rector and parish priest of the Quiapo Church.

"ATM. At the moment, di ba? So ito bagong hamon... Susubukan namin," he added.

The following will be the schedule of the events related to the Feast of the Black Nazarene next weekend.

Procession of replicas of the Black Nazarene - January 7, 2 p.m.

Fiesta vigil at the Quirino Grandstand - January 8, 5 p.m. onwards

Eucharistic celebration at Quirino Grandstand - January 9, 12 a.m.

Procession after mass

Hourly eucharistic celebration at Quiapo Church - January 9, 3 a.m. to 10 p.m.
