300 residents lose homes in Las Piñas fire, baby missing
Fire razed a residential area in Las Piñas City on Monday, rendering 300 people homeless and a baby missing, a report on Unang Balita on Tuesday said.
The fire, which reached Task Force Echo, occurred at Satima Compound in Fatima Village, Brgy. Talon Dos, GMA News' Bam Alegre reported.
Authorities declared the fire under control past 3 p.m.
The fire quickly spread since most of the houses were made of light materials.

Residents were not able to save most of their belongings.
The affected residents spent the night at a basketball court and at a chapel.
One of the victims, a woman named Rosenda, was emotional and said she does not know how to bounce back from the tragedy.
Grade six student Dex might have to stop schooling since he was not able to save any uniform, the report said.
On Tuesday morning, authorities will focus their efforts on finding the baby who was left inside one of the burning houses on Monday. —KG, GMA News
