The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) has raised the third alarm a few minutes before 1 a.m.
The residents said they heard some explosions in the area.
Makati Fire Marshal Supt. Roy Aguto said the fire spread quickly because the houses were made of light materials.
BFP officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
A resident, Gerald De Castro, said the fire started in front of a house owned by a certain Melda where they noticed people using illegal drugs. When the fire broke out, the said individuals ran out of the house.
No one was injured in the fire, GMA News' Mav Gonzales reported on Unang Balita on Thursday. —BAP/KG, GMA News
