PDEA agents seize almost P1M worth shabu in Antipolo raid
Anti-narcotics agents on Saturday seized almost P1 million worth of illegal drugs in a drug raid in Antipolo City.
Dheo Tabor of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said the drugs were seized from the house of Jon Paul and Norylyn Agir in Barangay Sta. Cruz.
Tabor said that drugs seized from the couple were worth at least P900,000.
The PDEA officer said that the result of the raid showed that drug traffickers are again attempting to deliver in bulk since the suspension of the Philippine National Police's (PNP) campaign against illegal drugs.
"Nag-a-attempt silang ulit bumalik, mag-distribute ng mas malaking volume ng drugs as confirmed ngayon dahil nga sa laki ng narecover natin," Tabor said.
President Rodrigo Duterte had said that he has told the PNP to rejoin the government's war on drugs.
PNP chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa had said that he has ordered the creation of anti-drugs units in all police stations nationwide. —report from Bam Alegre/Anna Felicia Bajo/ALG, GMA News
