Suspected drug pusher and runner nabbed in Makati buy-bust op

Authorities arrested a suspected drug pusher and his runner after a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Rizal, Makati City, Athena Imperial reported for Unang Balita on Tuesday.

Recovered from suspects Tirso Margarito Rodel alias Boyet and John Jae Enicuela were six packets of shabu worth P660,000 and P10,000 cash used by the undercover cop.

Police said the suspects are connected to big-time drug pushers in Taguig City adjacent to Brgy. Rizal.

Rodel said he was forced to sell illegal drugs due to his kidney disease.

"Dahil sa kalagayan ko sana, sa bato ko po, 'di puwedeng magtrabaho ng mabigat," he said.

Enicuela on the other hand admitted he earns P1,000 per transaction.

"Inutusan lang po ako na ihatid po sa kanya ang pera po... P32,000," he said.

Police are on the manhunt for the suspects' source of illegal drugs.

Chief Insp. Jerry Amindalan of the Southern Police District - Drug Enforcement Unit said the suspects will face charges of selling and possession of illegal drugs.

The suspects will also undergo drug tests to determine if they themselves used illegal drugs. —KG, GMA News
