Based on the initial investigation, the fire started at the house of a certain Nelson Mallari, which was made of light materials.
The residents said the fire spread quickly and many of them failed to go back to their homes to save their belongings.
One resident was only able to bring the one day's worth of income from their store, which was also gutted.
The estimated cost of damage, the BFP said, was pegged at P250,000.
