MMDA shuts down two erring bus terminals, impounds nine out-of-line buses in Pasay
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Wednesday served closure orders on two Pasay bus terminals that had no permit to operate.
A report by Mark Salazar in Balitanghali said that MMDA chairman Danilo Lim himself served the notices to Bragais and Pamar Terminal and St. Jude and San Rafael Terminal.
The closure orders were procured from the Pasay City Hall.

Last July, the MMDA's special operations team inspected the terminals and found that their buses violated the rules, including the "nose in, nose out" policy.
The MMDA also impounded nine out-of-line buses from Don Aldrin, the report added.
One Don Aldrin bus headed to Cavite was already carrying passengers, and was allowed to operate.
Operators will be fined P6,000 should they reclaim their buses.
Pasay City Administrator Atty. Dennis Acorda said the terminals' violations slipped through because the Pasay City Hall did not receive complaints about them.
Previous administrators also ordered the closure of certain bus terminals in Pasay, but they somehow manage to resume operations, he added.
The MMDA promised to keep an eye on these terminals, the report said. —Jessica Bartolome/KG, GMA News
