Fire razes mattress warehouse in Valenzuela City

Fire broke out at a mattress warehouse in Dalandanan, Valenzuela City, on Sunday, a report on Unang Balita on Monday said.

The fire hit the warehouse around 4 p.m. when residents smelled something burning and were surprised to see the establishment on fire.

There were no reported cases of casualties as no one was looking after the warehouse when the incident happened.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the fire spread rapidly because of the mattresses inside the warehouse.

“‘Yung mga nakaimbak diyan [ay] mga sofa kaya mabilis din ‘yung paglagablab niya,” said Glenn Dela Cruz, chief inspector of BFP Valenzuela.

The fire reached the third alarm and was declared under control at 5:05 p.m. on Sunday.
