CCTV catches gunman shoot to death 22-year-old at Caloocan home
A 22-year-old man was shot inside his own home in Barangay Bagong Barrio, Caloocan after he and his friends allegedly had a quarrel with another group, Emil Sumangil reported on 24 Oras on Tuesday.
Mark Jessy Cruz, alias Yakky, was shot dead by an unidentified gunman while drinking with a friend at home.
CCTV footage showed the gunman entering the narrow alley to Cruz' home after being dropped off by another man on a motorcycle at the opening of the alley.
The gunman ran back to his cohort right after shooting Cruz several times.
Cruz' father suspects that a spat between his son and his friends with another group set off the incident as the young man was not on their barangay's drug watch list.
Caloocan Chief of Polcie Sr. Supt. Jemar Modequillo said there is a huge chance that the incident will be resolved as Cruz' family knows who set their son up and CCTV cameras recorded the gunman taking his helmet off.
Modequillo said.
Police are now tracking down persons of interests based on testimonies by possible witnesses for the case. —Rie Takumi/NB, GMA News
