16-year-old killed by riding in tandem in QC

Sixteen year old Kevin Reantaso was shot dead by men riding in tandem on Wednesday, according to the report of GMA News' Marisol Abduraman on "State of the Nation with Jessica Soho."

Reantaso and his friend, Lance Salgado, came from attending a party when the shooting occurred.

The victim's aunt, Marilou Magboo, described Kevin as a good boy who takes care of his sickly grandmother.

The family is puzzled that Kevin was killed in a violent manner when they know he does not have enemies and is in fact a friendly person.

The shooting incident occurred a week after the police declared they are starting a campaign against crimes committed by those riding in tandem.

Quezon City Police District Director Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar said the motive could have been theft because Kevin was texting.

However, they are not dispelling the possibility that this could be a case of mistaken identity as Kevin was not involved in the illegal drugs trade.

The Reantaso family is seeking justice fo the death of Kevin as they call on witnesses who have information of the shooting to step forward. — BAP, GMA News
