PNP arrests Delemios’ co-accused in killing of teenager in 2014
The Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group has arrested the co-accused of Narc Tulod Delemios in the killing of a teenager in Parañaque in 2014.
Superintendent Jonathan Calixto, PNP-HPG Task Force Limbas head, identified the suspect as Jeric Lim.
On Thursday, Calixto said they nabbed Lim inside a mall in Dasmariñas, Cavite Wednesday afternoon with the help of the Pasay City Police.
“Yun nga nagkaroon tayo ng thorough investigation and na-find out namin itong si Jeric Lim kasama ni Delemios sa pagpatay sa isang Gino Balbuena. With coordination with Pasay Police Station, nalaman namin na may warrant of arrest sila, kinuha namin at yan ang ginamit namin sa pag-aresto kay Jeric Lim,” he told reporters.
Delemios and Lim allegedly killed Balbuena after a petty fight during a basketball game. The two went on hiding after the incident.
Lim denied the allegations, saying he thought Delemios went to Balbuena to fix their misunderstanding.
“Nauna ako sa bahay ng Balbuena, hindi ko alam na umalis na sila sa cara y cruzan sa kanto. Andun ‘yung Gino, pumunta ako sa bahay ng Gino kasi ‘yun ang nakaaway niya. Tapos nakarinig na kami ng putok, nagtakbuhan ‘yung tao, tumakbo na rin po ako,” he said. — Amita Legaspi/RSJ, GMA News
