Man slaps, kicks, shoots hapless customers at Pasay City bar

Pasay policemen are now looking for a still unidentified man who shot at a group of customers at a videoke bar in the wee hours of Monday morning.

According  to Oscar Oida's report on "24 Oras", CCTV footage showed the man entering the bar around 3 a.m.

The suspect reportedly used the toilet and when he was about to leave the establishment, was stared at by a group of customers.

He approached their table and slapped one on the chest and kicked another.

When one of the customers rose to fight, the suspect drew and gun and shot at them.

One of the customers believe that the suspect is a policeman as he reportedly wore a cop's pants and shoes.

Initial investigation of the Pasay police showed that the suspect had a "lover's quarrel" with a woman inside his car that he parked outside the bar, as seen in another CCTV footage.

Authorities believe that the suspect could have vented his anger towards the customers of the videoke bar.

"Ang tagal nila sa loob. We theorize na nagbabangayan na sila sa loob kaya mainit ang ulo ng lalaki, itong lalaki, itong suspek ay medyo nakainom," Superintendent Gene Licud said.

Police are now looking for the suspect who escaped on board a black vehicle.

They are also investigating if the suspect was a member of the PNP.

"Magiging bahagi 'yan ng ating pagiimbestiga kung ito ba ay pulis o hindi. Kung ito ay bahagi ng ating organisasyon, so he will be subjected for investigation," Licud said. —Anna Felicia Bajo/NB, GMA News
