Drunk security guard nabbed for firing service firearm
Authorities arrested an intoxicated security guard in Quezon City after carelessly firing his service firearm in front of the establishment where he is working.
Quezon City Police District Station 10 commander Superintendent Christian dela Cruz named the suspect as Ricardo Paez.
A Super Radyo dzBB report by Alan Gatus said that according to Dela Cruz, policemen recovered a .38 revolver, three bullets, and one bullet casing from Paez.
Dela Cruz said public safety officers from Barangay Immaculate Concepcion were on patrol when they caught Paez firing his gun.
Paez was arrested in a follow-up operation. He claimed his gun fired by accident.
Police said Paez was found to be intoxicated and is set to undergo a praffin test.
The security guard is facing a possible case of illegal discharge of firearm and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition. —Joseph Tristan Roxas/ALG, GMA News
