The victim, Grace Oliveros, is the niece of the suspect, Ricky Castillano.
Grace was found lifeless inside their house in Malinta, Valenzuela City.
"Pinalabas 'yung 3 maliliit na magkakapatid. Naiwan 'yung ate nila. Nung binuksan sa likod doon nakita nila yung ate nila patay na," said a neighbor, Hazel Zayas.
The police said the victim may have tried to fight off the suspect because her hand has strands of hair and the room was in shambles.
Ronaldo Mendoza, Valenzuela Police Chief.
The police also recovered the kitchen knife that may have been used by the suspect.
The suspect said he did not rape the victim. He added that he did not take illegal drugs nor was he drunk at the time of the crime.
Castillano said that he killed Grace out of anger, adding that he got mad when she would not wake up.
He admitted to pulling down the shorts of the victim but he did not rape her.
Grace and three younger siblings were left in the care of their grandmother and their uncle while their father was working.
Parang awa mo na Coy," cried Ireneo Oliveros Jr., the victim's father.
The victim's younger siblings are presently under the custody of workers at the Department of Social Welfare and Development. — BAP, GMA News
