Fire at Ateneo High School building quickly under control

A building of the Ateneo de Manila High School in Quezon City caught fire Sunday evening.

According to initial reports from Bureau of Fire Protection Senior Fire Officer II Wilson Bautista, the fire was reported at 7:06 p.m. Sunday, and was declared fire out at 7:27 p.m.

“Naagapan din agad, hindi na lumaki,” he said in a phone interview, but did not elaborate.

Bautista said the fire could have been caused by a faulty airconditioning unit, and that authorities are now investigating the matter. — BM, GMA News
