1,000 families displaced in Las Piñas City fire
At least 1,000 families were displaced in a four-hour fire that hit two residential compounds in Las Piñas City, early Wednesday.
Super Radyo dzBB's James Agustin reported that a total of 575 homes in Laong Compound and Sampaguita Compound in barangays Almanza Uno and Pilar, respectively, were gutted by the fire.

A report on Unang Balita by Vonne Aquino said the fire broke out at around 3 a.m. at the Laong Compound.
The fire spread to Sampaguita Compound and reached the fifth alarm at 5:51 a.m. before being declared under control at 7:02 a.m.
Investigators pegged the fire's damage at P1.5 million. Two persons were reported hurt.
