Anti-colorum ops net bus, taxis without proper documents in QC

A bus and some taxis were caught without the proper documents by personnel of the Inter-Agency Council for Traffic (I-ACT) on Monday morning, according to a report on News To Go by Rida Reyes.

Acting on President Rodrigo Duterte's order to go after colorum vehicles, I-ACT personnel started their operations early on Monday in Cubao and found a bus of Joana Jesh Bus Company whose engine number did not match that indicated in the franchise and bus registration.

The bus was immediately impounded at the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board office to check the status of its franchise application.

I-ACT personnel also found some taxis that were colorum.

Transportation Undersecretary Tim Orbos said colorum vehicles pose a problem for the transport sector.

I-ACT will have a meeting on Monday to set protocols to address the illegal operation of colorum vehicles. —KG, GMA News
