2 boys stabbed to death by own father in Taguig

A 41-year-old man stabbed his two sons to death inside their home at Barangay Lower Bicutan in Taguig City.

According to a 24 Oras report by Athena Imperial on Saturday, Jievo and Lance Nacion, aged 13 and 6 respectively, were found Saturday morning sprawled across their beds covered in blood and with multiple stab wounds.

The father, Ariston Nacion, was killed by Taguig City police who were responding to the commotion reported by residents and barangay officials.

An officer was forced to shoot Nacion after the suspect twice tried to stab another policeman, according to Superintendent Clarence Gomeyac, assistant chief of Taguig City Police for Administration.

"Lumapit 'yung isang kasama natin, si Lopez para kausapin 'yung...bigla naman siyang inundayan ng saksak. Umilag si SPO1 Lopez at aatras sana papunta doon sa may gate, sasaksakin nanaman siya sa likod," Gomeyac told GMA News.

Police said the incident took place past 10 a.m. of Saturday.

Police investigation is still ongoing to determine what drove Nacion to murder his children.

His wife, who was working overseas, told police that her husband had threatened to kill their children if she did not come home.

"Pinipilit siya na pauwiin ng suspect at meron pa raw siyang threat na kung hindi siya uuwi ay papatayin niya 'yung mga bata," Gomeyac said.

Police also recovered one sachet of shabu from the house, while a relative of the wife claimed Nacion was a known in their neighborhood as a drug user.

"Parang... depressed nalang din kasi. Selos. Parang pag-iisip niya, tapos hindi pa niya magawang mapa-uwi 'yung ate ko,"  she said. — Margaret Claire Layug/MDM, GMA News
