Exploding sounds heard as power line along EDSA catches fire
A portion of EDSA's northbound lane was closed for several minutes after a power line caught fire on Monday morning.
Sounds similar to exploding firecrackers can be heard from a video of the burning power line shared by Jeff Alagar to YouScoop.

The power line that caught fire was located near a commercial building at the EDSA-Reliance area.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said the power line caught fire at around 9:44 a.m. and was put out at 9:57 a.m.
The fire forced the MMDA to temporarily close the yellow lane in the area.
No one was reported hurt. —ALG, GMA News
