Armed passengers rob Grab driver

Three men robbed a Grad driver and carjacked his vehicle in Quezon City early Friday.

A report on 24 Oras by Athena Imperial, Grad driver Jojo Despabiladeras picked up a rider named Istan Ilao and two others at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 at past 3 a.m. last Friday.

"Pagkadating ko po ng Bay 5, nandoon po 'yung pasahero, tinawag po 'yung dalawang kasamahan saka po sumakay ng sasakyan. Derecho na po kami sa drop-off point nila which is Project 8, Quezon City... GSIS village po," sabi ni Despabiladeras.

Upon reaching the rider's drop off point at Project 8 in Quezon City, the three passengers armed with guns and knives declared the robbery.

Despabiladeras said the robbers took his P13,000 cash, cellular phone and the Grab car.

Police recovered the carjacked Grab vehicle in Barangay Ramon Magsaysay on Sunday.

Residents said the vehicle has been parked in the barangay in at least three days.

Authorities believe that the robbers used a fake Grab account.
