Dump truck crashes into another truck on Batasan-San Mateo Road

A dump truck crashed into a post and a dropside truck on Batasan-San Mateo Road in Quezon City on Wednesday night, causing heavy traffic in the area, according to a report on Unang Balita on Thursday by Bam Alegre.

Authorities said the dump truck's brakes failed while traversing the road.

Due to the impact of the crash, the dump truck's fuel tank fell off the vehicle, causing diesel fuel to spill onto the road.

The dropside truck, which was carrying steel, crashed onto a wall.

The driver of the dropside truck said he was surprised when the dump truck bumped into his vehicle.

Motorists had difficulty driving on the road due to the spilled fuel.

Authorities brought the dump truck's driver and helper to the office of the Quezon City Traffic Sector.

One of the trucks was cleared from the road before 7 a.m. Thursday. —KG, GMA News
