Portion of JP Rizal St. in Makati closed on Saturday afternoon
A portion of JP Rizal Street in Makati City will be closed on Saturday afternoon, June 30, to give way for a free concert event, according to an advisory from the city government.
According to the city's Information and Community Relations Department, the stretch of JP Rizal Street from Villena Street to Makati Avenue will be closed to traffic from 1 p.m. onward.
Due to expected heavy traffic, motorists are advised to take the following alternate routes:
Vehicles going to Manila:
From J.P. Rizal Street, turn left at J.D. Villena Street, turn right to General Luna Street, turn right to P. Burgos Street, and turn left to J.P. Rizal Street towards destination.
Vehicles going to Guadalupe area:
From Antipolo Street, turn right at Osmeña Street, turn right to E. Zobel Street, turn left to Valdez Street, turn right to Makati Avenue, turn left to Gil Puyat Avenue, then take Kalayaan Flyover towards destination.
The free concert is in connection with the 348th founding anniversary celebration of Barangay Poblacion. It will be held in the afternoon until midnight at the Poblacion Plaza. —Maia Tria/KBK, GMA News
