Students can submit UPCAT applications through courier — UP’s Dalisay
Students who want to submit their applications to take the University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) may do so by courier, a university official stressed on Monday.
UP Vice President for Public Affairs Dr. Jose "Butch" Dalisay Jr. told Super Radyo dzBB reporter Glen Juego after an estimated 10,000 students and parents crowded the UP Diliman campus on the last day of submitting applications for students from private schools in Metro Manila.
According to a report on News To Go, the large crowds resulted in chaos and even some people fainting.
Dalisay said that even though UP has emphasized the courier option, applicants still prefer to go to the university to line up in person.
