Fire hits near Litex market in QC


 

 

About 20 houses were affected by the fire at the back of Litex market in Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City early Tuesday morning, Darlene Cay reported on Unang Balita.

The fire started about 2 a.m. and quickly spread as the houses were very close to each other and are mostly made of light materials.

The fire reached the second alarm, and because of the immediate response of firefighters fire out was declared after forty minutes.

Authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. Based on an initial information, the fire could have started from the poor electrical wiring of one of the houses.

The cost of damage was pegged at P300,000.

No one was reported injured in the incident.

The operations at the Litex market was not affected by the incident.— BAP, GMA News
