Chinese chop-chop victim found in Makati City


The chopped up remains of a Chinese woman was found inside a condominium in Barangay Bel-Air in Makati City, Super Radyo dzBB's Julee Cabrera reported.

According to an initial report, at least four Chinese nationals, tagged by officials as suspects, have been arrested.

In the report of Darlene Cay on Unang Balita, the victim was identified as 26-year-old Wang Yalei.

The chopped up remains of the victim were found kept in several bags.

Makati Police personnel related that they received a call from the security supervisor of a condominium. They were informed that an unidentified person disposed of a bloody knife in the garbage chute of the building.

The suspects were identified as Zhang Chuning, Zhang Cha Quan, and Zhang Yi Xi.

Another person is considered a person of interest in the incident, Wang Xue who arrived in the area almost at the same time as the police and who also tried to escape.

Officials said the suspects were drinking alcohol early morning on Thursday when an argument started between the victim and Zhang Chuning.

The suspects related that the victim was about to stab Zhang Chuning. But the suspect managed to grab the knife from the victim.

Based on the initial investigation Zhang Chuning, at this point, asked for help from friends to chop up the body of the victim and place these in bags.

More than 14 hours passed since the crime was committed and the body parts were found. The crime scene was already clean when the police arrived. — BAP, GMA News
