Enough ingredients to make P4 billion worth of shabu found inside van in Pasig
Enough ingredients to make an estimated P4 billion worth of shabu was found by the police inside a van in Pasig City, according to a report by Darlene Cay on Balitanghali on Thursday.
The van had been parked in the area for 19 days when the authorities opened it and discovered 27 sacks of a substance believed to be ephedrine, which is one of the ingredients of shabu.
Boxes of acetone, strainers, flasks and basins were also found in the van, along with four jugs, each containing two kilos of suspected shabu worth P54 million.
National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Director Guillermo Eleazar said their surveillance of a big-time drug manufacturer led to the discovery.
“The follow-up investigation that we will be conducting is saan ba nanggaling 'to at meron ba silang pinaggailngan na clandestine na laboratory, for us to check kung nasaan ‘yun,” Eleazar said. — Joviland Rita/BM, GMA News
