Drug Enforcement Unit operatives of the Quezon City Police District Station 4 have seized P600,000 worth of marijuana and P120,000 worth of kush in a buy-bust operation on Saturday morning.
Authorities said the anti-drug operation was launched in Barangay Bagbag, Novaliches, along Quirino Highway in Quezon City.

According to Senior Inspector Dennis Francisco, chief of Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU), the buy-bust operation targeted the 27-year-old Eunice Suriya, alias "Madam", following information she was doing transaction online.
Suriya used "Madam" in a Facebook group chat that was actively peddling marijuana and kush (high-grade marijuana) to her online clients.
"One of our operatives posed as a buyer online and managed to outwit her in their chat. Our poseur-buyer ordered P50,000 worth of marijuana. Suriya agreed to meet the undercover agent along Quirino Highway in Bagbag at 7 a.m.," Francisco said.
Suriya arrived near a fast food chain along Quirinio Highway at past 7 a.m. A police officer in civilian attire, along with the confidential informant, approached her car.
After the poseur-buyer handed over the buy-bust money, the police team arrested Suriya.
Clear plastic bags containing five kilos of suspected marijuana leaves, estimated at P600,000, and two zip-lock clear plastic bags of Suspected kush amounting to P120,000 were seized from Suriya, including the marked money.
Suriya is facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. —LBG, GMA News
