Two suspects nabbed in QC for selling drugs in exchange for sex, underwear
Police officers finally arrested on Thursday two persons known to sell drugs in Quezon City in exchange for cash, sex, or even underwear, according to James Agustin's report on "24 Oras."
The alleged drug dealer Marlon Salvador, known as "Alon," who allegedly peddles shabu at Barangay Bagbag, Novaliches in exchange for either cash, items and even sex, was arrested alongside three buyers, namely Jana Cadag, Freddie Depeno, and Kristofer Tuazon.
Salvador would travel all the way from Valenzuela to meet his buyers in Novaliches. With his arrest, police were able to find 51 grams of shabu that has a street value of P346,000 .
Novaliches Police Station commander Superintendent Rossel Cejas said, "Ang target dito ay si Alon, 'yung known tulak sa area ng ugong Valenzuela na nagbabagsak dito sa area ng bagbag."
According to Salvador, when buyers won't be able to pay for the drugs, they would offer their cellphones instead.
Cejas said, "Kung mayroon kang ibang items tulad ng mga relos o baril tinatanggap din niya basta makabenta din siya ng shabu."
On worse occasions, women buyers would even go far as offer sex just to get shabu.
Salvador said that his buyers would simply call or text him and he would bring it to them. He admitted that he has been selling drugs for over two years now.
Cadag admitted that she gave some of her clothes in exchange for drugs. Tuazon, meanwhile, said he traded his cellphone for the illegal substance. Depeno said he was merely ordered to buy drugs for another person.
At Barangay Pasong Tamo, on the other hand, another alleged drug pusher, Melissa Rojo, and her daughter, Jelissa were arrested by the police just as they were using drugs.
Melissa, instead of selling drugs in exchange for cellphones, was collecting women's underwear from her brother-in-law. According to her, she was supposed to give the five pieces of underwear to her children.
Melissa said, "Nagtext nga sila sa akin na kung pwede sabi niya ano kunin mo ba ito swap palitan mo itong panty."
Police officers were able to retrieve two sachets of shabu, two sachets of shabu residue and drug paraphernalia.
Station Drug Enforcement Unit deputy Chief Inspector Harry Basilla said, "Paulit-ulit na lang itong bahay nila ginagawa nilang drug den."
Melissa, however, kept denying the accusations and said that the drugs were not found on her body but just on the chair nearby. —Kaela Malig/ LDF, GMA News
