Volumes of trash collected in Manila Bay cleanup led by BFP in Pasay City


Personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) on Sunday led a cleanup drive in Manila Bay collecting volumes of trash along the shore as part of the rehabilitation of the polluted area in Pasay City.

According to a report of Mao Dela Cruz on Super Radyo dzBB, around 200 BFP personnel picked trash in Manila Bay behind Manila Film Center.

 

 

Aside from cleaning the shore, BFP personnel also opened the drainage areas and removed trash from them such as plastic and styrofoam.

National Capital Regional (NCR) Fire Director Senior Superintendent Wilberto Kwan Tiu said the cleanup was part of BFP’s rehabilitation and cultural preservation program.

He also said their initiative aims to support a consistent rehabilitation of Manila Bay as ordered by the government. —Joviland Rita/KG, GMA News
