Body found inside parked SUV in Camarin, Caloocan

The body of a man was found inside a sports utility vehicle (SUV) that had been parked for several hours in a subdivision in Camarin, Caloocan City.

According to a report on GMA's "24 Oras Weekend" on Sunday, the dead man's hands were bound behind his back.

A resident of the village said that he saw a man park the vehicle and then leave.

"'Di ko na tinignan kung anong itsura niya, kasi 'di naman dumiretso dito eh... Naka-sumbrero, naka-white t-shirt, tapos 'di ko na tinignan kung anong ano nila. Akala namin pa-parking lang," he said.

Passersby then noticed a man inside, who they initially thought was sleeping. A few hours later, however, the man was still in the car unmoved.

"'Yung damit niya nakataas, tapos 'yung dalawa niyang bulsa nakalabas. 'Yung tiyan niya hindi naman gumagalaw kasi kung natutulog 'yun, humihinga," the witness said.

"'Tsaka iba na 'yung kulay eh. Maputla na eh," he added.

The family of the victim already collected the body, and declined to do an autopsy in line with their Muslim beliefs.

Authorities are now conducting an investigation into the matter. — Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/BM, GMA News
