JV Ejercito, mom Guia Gomez back Jinggoy's daughter as next San Juan mayor
Senator JV Ejercito and his mother, San Juan City Mayor Guia Gomez, have thrown their support behind the mayoral bid of San Juan City Vice Mayor Janella Ejercito Estrada, daughter of ex-Senator Jinggoy Estrada.
The family members shared the stage during the campaign stop of Hugpong ng Pagbabago in the Estradas' bailiwick of San Juan on Wednesday.

JV is the son of former President Joseph Estrada with Gomez, while Jinggoy is former President Estrada's son with his wife Dr. Loi Ejercito.
JV introduced his niece Janella as San Juan City's next mayor. She is running against PDP-Laban's Francis Zamora, the former vice mayor of San Juan and opponent of Gomez in the mayoralty race in 2016.

JV, Gomez and Janella were also seen exchanging pleasantries onstage.
Janella returned the favor to her uncle JV by campaigning for him alongside her father Jinggoy.
"Hayaan niyo po akong ikampanya ang aking Tito at ang aking ama. Ang mahal na mahal ng buong San Juan, ang ating minamahal na Mr. Healthcare, Senator JV Ejercito. At siyempre po, huwag nating kakalimutan, ibalik natin ang boses ng masa sa Senado, ang anak ng masa, Senator Jinggoy Estrada," Janella said.

Both JV and Jinggoy are on the Senate slate of administration coalition Hugpong ng Pagbabago.
JV earlier said that his Senate reelection bid is tough because he is running alongside his brother Jinggoy which could confuse voters whom to vote. —KG, GMA News
