Three of the KFR suspects, including the Pasay Station 1-SDEU chief, escaped the entrapment operation and are now subjects of police manhunt.
PNP Counter-Intelligence Task Force (CITF) commander Colonel Romeo Caramat Jr. earlier said that the entrapment operation was conducted at the Pasay City Police Station 1 at about 4 a.m. against Cpl. Nasser and three others.
Caramat said the operation stemmed from a complaint of the live-in partner of the man the suspects "arrested."
The victim's partner claimed the suspects demanded P100,000 ransom for her partner's freedom.
Those who escaped (Lieutenant Leonardo Frave, chief of Pasay City Police Station 1-SDEU; Patrolman Anthony Fernandez; and Sergeant Rigor Octaviano) have run away with the P100,000 marked money used in the operation.
