Admission of patients to Rizal Medical Center back to normal —Duque
Rizal Medical Center in Pasig City has started admitting patients again despite the ongoing water shortage, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said Thursday.
But according to Duque, operations at RMC has "normalized" as far as admission of patients is concerned.
"Tinanggal na nila yung limitasyon na iyon. Binuksan nila ulit. Nag-normalize na yung kanilang pag-admit ng pasyente," Duque said in an interview on Dobol B sa News TV.
The operation normalized following the delivery of water from Manila Water, Philippine Red Cross and Bureau of Fire Protection, Duque said.
"Kahapon pinulong ko ang lahat ng ahensiyang ito at inulit-ulit ko ang kahalagan ng tubig sa ospital," he said. "Hindi kailangang mawalan ng tubig ang mga ospital."
Duque also assured the public that sanitation and hygiene in hospitals will not be compromised amid the water supply problem affecting parts of Metro Manila and Rizal province.
"Sinisiguro natin na di dapat makompromiso ang sanitation, hygiene and infection control sa mga ospital sa lahat, ke national government o local government pati partivate hosptitals kasi lahat ng pasyente ay dapat maging ligtas sila," he said. —KBK, GMA News
