2 trucks, 1 van figure in accident on Katipunan Avenue, QC
Three vehicles—a 22-wheeler truck, a 10-wheeler truck, and a closed delivery van—got into an accident on Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City on Saturday morning.
The accident occurred in front of Ateneo de Manila University, according to a report on Super Radyo dzBB by Luisito Santos.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said on Twitter that the accident occurred at 5:15 a.m.
The MMDA has already sent personnel to assist the motorists.

According to the companion of the driver of the 22-wheeler truck, the driver of their truck carrying sand fell asleep while behind the wheel.
Their truck then hit a 10-wheeler truck and a closed delivery van.
The accident also caused an oil spill which has posed a problem for three motorcycle riders, one of whom was brought to the hospital.

Northbound traffic became heavy, with the tailend reaching the Quirino Memorial Medical Center.
The three vehicles have not yet been cleared from the accident area as of posting time. —KG, GMA News
