16 arrested, P252k illegal drugs seized by PDEA, Pasig police

A total of P252,100 worth of suspected shabu and marijuana have been seized from 16 suspects arrested in a joint operation of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the police in Pasig City Wednesday afternoon.

An initial police report showed that PDEA implemented three search warrants on San Agustin Street, Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.

Members of the Pasig City Police Station intelligence section and community precinct 8 provided assistance and security to the PDEA team in cooperation with the Anti-Drug Abuse Council and barangay officials.

Arrested were Dante Medez, 50; Irish May Agustin, 24; Jil Jimenez, 40; Paolo Villaruel, 36; Jeffrey Villaruel, 45; Michael Laron, 34 y/o; Arvin Calpito, 47; Jerry Qulobe, 46; Ramon Jimenez, 47; Jommel Quijano, 31; Kevin Quijano, 24; Norman Salik, 38; Mapandi Joharah, 23; Jalil Anowar, 32; Jalil Rasmai, 37; and Elias Mohammad Salih, 20.

Authorities confiscated in one of the houses plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 10 grams with standard drug price of P68,000 and one plastic sachet containing suspected dried marijuana leaves with estimated drug price of P500.

Another house yielded eight plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 12 grams worth P81,600 while seven plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing m/l 102 grams worth Php 102,000; drug paraphernalias; and two cellular phones were found in another house at SAHOA, San Agustin street, also in PInagbuhatan. - MDM, GMA News
