Bullet that killed Gian Habal matched cop’s gun — NCRPO chief

The chief of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on Thursday confirmed that the bullet that killed six-year-old Gian Habal matched the gun of suspect Police Corporal Rocky delos Reyes.

Citing NCRPO chief Police Major General Guillermo Eleazar, a Super Radyo dzBB report by Glen Juego said this was based on the result of the ballistic examination. The result will be submitted to the Office of the Prosecutor as additional evidence against Delos Reyes.

Delos Reyes is facing murder and attempted murder charges.

Authorities are also investigating if an administrative case will be filed against him.

Habal was killed when Delos Reyes was engaging in a firefight with a suspect identified as alias Botchok.
