Vic Sotto says son Vico went up against a ‘thick, hard wall’ in Pasig mayoral run

Vico Sotto arrived at the Pasig City Hall to await his official proclamation holding hands with his mother, Connie Reyes, and with his father, Vic Sotto on his side.

Vic Sotto and Reyes, both showbiz personalities, showed unflinching support for their son but admitted getting nervous about his decision to run, according to a report on Eleksyon 2019: The GMA News and Public Affairs Special Coverage.

Hanggang ngayon, ninenerbyos pa rin ako," Vic Sotto said.

He said his son could have an easy win had he decided to seek another term as city councilor, but running against the incumbent, a Eusebio, was like ramming a think wall.

I will support you all the way," he added.

Connie Reyes said she understood her son's wishes as soon as he talked to her about his plans.

I gave him my 100 percent support," she said.
