Portion of C5 South Link Expressway set to open in July
The Segment 3A of Metro Pacific Tollways Corp.’s (MPTC) C5 South Link Expressway is set to be opened for motorists by next month, according to Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar on Monday.
"Itong portion mao-open namin by next month. Itong Segment 3A, ito po 'yung pinaka-critical na segment dahil ito 'yung tawid ng SLEX. 'Pag na-open po namin ito, lahat po ng taga-Las Piñas, Parañaque, hindi na kailangang umikot pa sa Sales, EDSA... Diretso na sa C-5," Villar said in a report by Bam Alegre on GMA News' Unang Balita.

According to Villar, the DPWH is still finalizing the toll fee for the said expressway. It may range from P20 to P22.
"Ito po ay toll road. We can expect a small toll. I think more or less... hindi pa finalized pero more or less P20 to P22 ang magiging toll natin dito," Villar said.
Travel time from the cities of Makati and Taguig to the cities of Las Piñas and Parañaque as well as to Cavite province will be shorter due to the 7.7 kilometer- expressway, Villar added.
The project is targeted to be completed in 2020. —Anna Felicia Bajo/KG, GMA News
