Vico Sotto’s first EO suspends odd-even traffic scheme in Pasig City
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto on Monday signed an executive order suspending the odd-even number coding scheme in the city.
In his Facebook post on Monday, Sotto said he just signed his first EO as Pasig mayor which orders the Traffic Management Task Force to review and propose new methods in improving the traffic flow in Pasig.
“The Traffic Management Task Force will review and propose new solutions for the current mobility and traffic situation. We will make decisions based on the data and numbers,” he wrote.
According to Sotto, the task force has 45 days only to come up with new traffic solutions.
In line with this, Sotto noted that the ‘disjointed and unjust’ odd-even number coding scheme will be suspended.
“This EO includes the suspension of the disjointed and unjust odd even scheme,” Sotto said.
The new Pasig mayor posted a photo of himself holding the EO document alongside the announcement. —NB, GMA News
