Fire hits restaurant on Mother Ignacia Ave., QC


Fire broke out at a restaurant along Mother Ignacia Avenue in Quezon City on Tuesday night, according to a report by James Agustin on GMA News' Saksi.

Customers and employees quickly got out of Big Daddy's Steak House as fire quickly spread from the kitchen.

Guests at the hotel beside the restaurant also evacuated.

According to Fire Senior Inspector Lyndon Yap, Bureau of Fire Protection Station 4 commander, the fire may have started from the kitchen where there were combustible materials.

The fire, which reached the first alarm, was put out before midnight.

Authorities estimated the cost of damage to reach P100,000. —KG, GMA News
