How is Isko as a boss? Mayor's staff members answer

Staff members of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno gave a peek at how the local official is as a boss.

In an episode of Bawal Ang Pasaway, Manila's chief public information officer Julius Leonen said Moreno does not stick to regular work hours.

“Wala sa kanya yung regular working hours. There’s no such thing as 8 to 5 working for him,” Leonen said.

Leonen said they sometimes have to monitor the Facebook Live video of Moreno around 11 p.m. or 2 a.m.

He added that Moreno, who took office on July 1, focuses on problem-solving.

“May mga equipment na pumapalya pero instead of beratijng us like the usual bosses, inaalam niya muna kung ano yung problema,” Leonen said.

For his PA or production assistant for 26 years now, Arnel Aranton, Moreno is a generous man.

When Moreno was a member of That’s Entertainment, Aranton recalls that they went to a place in Greenhills where some children selling cigarettes in the street asked Moreno for money.

“Hindi niya binigyan. Ang sabi niya, ‘Hindi ko kayo bibigyan ng pera pero papakainin ko kayo,'” Aranton said.

Aranton added that Moreno is good-tempered. Once when he forgot to bring the script for Moreno, the actor acted up a little a bit on him but eventually asked for forgiveness.
