Muslims troop to Golden Mosque in Quiapo for second day of Eid'l Adha
Filipino Muslims marked the second day of Eid'l Adha or Feast of the Sacrifice on Monday by going to mosques to pray.
The Eid'l Adha is held to remember the willingness of the prophet Abraham in sacrificing his son to Allah but Allah stopped him before he could do so, according to a report by Darlene Cay on GMA News' Unang Balita on Monday.
Eid'l Adha began on Sunday and will last until Wednesday.
On Sunday, Muslims in Metro Manila gathered in many areas such as the Quirino Grandstand, Quezon Memorial Circle and the Golden Mosque in Quiapo to pray and share a meal together.
On the second day of Eid'l Adha on Monday, a number of Muslims went early to the Golden Mosque in Quiapo to pray.
There will also be prayers at noontime then feasting together with family and friends. —KG, GMA News
