Cops deployed after suspicious box was found on EDSA center island
A lane on the northbound portion of EDSA going to Shaw Boulevard was closed Friday noon after a suspicious box was spotted there, according to Mark Makalalad's report on Dobol B sa News TV.
The box was found on the center island by street sweepers of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Chino Gaston reported on Balitanghali.

MMDA special operations commander Bong Nebrija said National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Police Major General Guillermo Eleazar "has been informed."
The Dobol B sa News TV report said personnel from the police Explosive Ordnance Disposal are already in the area.
Eleazar told GMA News Online that EOD would conduct disruption operation on the said box.
He added that both lanes in EDSA crossing the underpass would be closed until the area is already cleared.—Anna Felicia Bajo/KBK/LDF, GMA News
