MRT3 suspends operations after Guadalupe catenary cable incident
The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) management has announced on Friday morning the suspension of operations from North Avenue to Taft Avenue stations after a cable of the Overhead Catenary System (OCS) at Guadalupe Station North bound was cut.
The incident caused insufficient power supply from Shaw Boulevard to Santolan.

"After restoring operations, we will investigate how the overhead catenary cable could have been cut."
Meralco, meanwhile, said the problem was "internal" and that as far as the power distribution firm is concerned, the power supply to MRT3 is sufficient.
"Wala ho tayong insufficient power supply," Meralco spokesperson Joe Zaldarriaga said in an interview on Dobol B sa News TV. "Malaki ho yung ating reserba for today. Adequate po yung supply ng Meralco sa araw na ito."
"Internal ang problema nila (MRT3), wala ho tayong kinalaman doon. Yung supply ng kuryente from Meralco to the MRT is all okay and stable," he added.
There are additional buses that were dispatched to ferry MRT-3 commuters to their destinations.
Meanwhile, commuters can be seen stranded at the stations including the GMA-Kamuning station as shown by the photos of YouScooper Ralph.
