QC task force cracks down on reserved signs on public parking slots
The Quezon City Task Force for Traffic and Transport Management has removed and destroyed wooden and steel obstructions meant to reserve the city's public parking slots on Timog Avenue for customers of establishments in the area.
According to Athena Imperial's report on "QRT", the task force was implementing City Ordinance SP 1465, which prohibits the reservation of a portion of public streets, avenues, sidewalks, alleys, and other public open spaces for the exclusive use of individuals or establishments.
The task force said the lengthy use of public parking slots by individuals who didn't have their own garages was also prohibited.
The crackdown on reservations of public parking slots by individuals and establishments came after the city intensified its campaign against illegal parking on roadsides. —NB, GMA News
