Grab driver upholds 4-passenger rule, gets punched

A Grab driver was punched in the face for upholding a policy on allowing only four passengers in a car, according to a report on Unang Balita.

In a video, the driver identified as Ed Tugade is seen explaining that it is the policy of Grab that only four passengers are allowed in a car.

However, a man wearing a white shirt, identified as Jan Jervi Mercado said the fifth passenger is only a child.

Tugade related that Mercado punched him and kicked his car while his girlfriend pulled his hair.

The police arrested Mercado and his girlfriend.

Mercado claimed, though there is no video recording, that Tugade pushed him, pointed at him and cursed.

Grab Philippines, meanwhile, issued a reminder that only four passengers are allowed in the Grab car service.

Children, no matter what age, are counted as one passenger. — BAP, GMA News
