Temporary steel ramp in Alabang Viaduct-Skyway to be put up to ease SLEX traffic

To ease the heavy traffic in a portion of the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), the construction of a temporary steel ramp for light vehicles from Alabang Viaduct to the Skyway will commence on Tuesday, according to its private operator Skyway O&M Corporation.

"This is about 180 linear meters na temporary steel ramp.

So they have this opportunity na doon pa lang puwede na silang umakyat," he added.

Bonoan said they are working closely with the Department of Public Works and Highways for this short-term solution to traffic in SLEX.

The ramp is seen to reduce the travel time of northbound motorists who are using the expressway.

On Monday, Bonoan assured that lane 3 of the SLEX will be reopened on November 30 as initial works on the Skyway extension project is expected to be completed by then. —Dona Magsino/KG, GMA News
