MMDA to implement stop-and-go scheme along EDSA, SLEX for SEA Games


The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Tuesday announced that it will implement a stop-and-go scheme on EDSA and the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) for the duration of the 30th Southeast Asian Games from November 30 to December 11.

“Whenever vehicles of delegates pass by these roads, all traffic will be stopped. Traffic will resume once delegates have gone through,” the MMDA said on its Facebook page.

The stop-and-go scheme will be implemented in the following areas:

For EDSA Southbound:

  • Balintawak
  • Muñoz
  • SM North EDSA
  • Cubao (New York to Monte de Piedad)
  • Santolan
  • Ortigas
  • Shaw Boulevard
  • Boni Serrano
  • Buendia corner Macapagal
  • Ayala Magallanes
  • Roxas Boulevard

For EDSA Northbound:

  • Taft Avenue
  • Ayala
  • Buendia
  • Shaw Boulevard splits
  • Megamall
  • Santolan
  • SM North EDSA
  • Muñoz
  • Balintawak
  • Roxas Boulevard

For SLEX Northbound:

  • Mindanao Avenue-North Avenue to NLEX
  • Roxas Boulevard corner Buendia
  • Roxas Boulevard corner P. Ocampo
  • Roxas Boulevard corner P. Burgos
