Roxas Boulevard section to be closed on Rizal Day – MPD

The Manila Police District (MPD)–Traffic Enforcement Unit on Sunday advised motorists that sections of Roxas Boulevard, both northbound and southbound lanes, would be closed on Rizal Day.

The section from Katigbak to TM Kalaw would be closed to traffic from 6 a.m. onwards.

The MPD presented a traffic re-routing plan for vehicles that would be affected by the road closure:

• Light vehicles traveling southward from Delpan Bridge-Pier Zone shall turn left to P. Burgos, right to Maria Orosa Street to point of destination (Katigbak Drive, Independence Road, and South Drive would be opened to traffic if necessary).
• All trailer trucks/heavy vehicles from Delpan Bridge/Pier Zone shall turn left to P. Burgos straight to Finance Road-Ayala Boulevard, right to San Marcelino to destination.
• Light vehicles traveling northbound of Roxas Boulevard shall turn right to T.M. Kalaw, then left to Maria Orosa Street to point of destination.
• All trailer trucks/heavy vehicles traveling northbound of Roxas Boulevard from P. Ocampo shall turn right to President Quirino Avenue to destination.
• Motorists coming from MacArthur, Jones, and Quezon Bridges intending to use the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard from P. Burgos shall take Round Table, then to Ma. Orosa or use Taft Avenue to point of destination.
